An update on the pause


It's been most of a year since my last post, in which I said that I put the game on hold. To stop you from getting your hopes up, the game is still on hold, and will not be resuming development soon, quite likely not this year at all. I have taken on a number of non-game side projects, for the benefit of my mental health, as I was struggling with putting all of my efforts into game dev and getting nothing out.

The side-projects I alluded to in the last post are almost certainly not going to come to fruition. One of them, the MGS-inspired action game, is far outside of my skill level currently. The other, much smaller project, I got at least half finished before becoming burnt out on the project because it still wasn't small enough.

What I truly need to do is make at least one game jam scale game, to actually genuinely finish a game, even something that I would consider a trivial exercise. Something that had been holding me back from that is that I wouldn't want to post it here, alongside my serious projects.

The resolution I have decided on is that I will be creating a new "studio" account for major projects like Silent Weapons, and this account will strictly be for minor projects. That means that I will no longer be updating this game page, as I will be migrating Silent Weapons to the studio account.

I will post the link once I have the migrated page set up. I hope to actually complete a game project, even if it is something extremely tiny, before the end of the summer.
