Welcome to the devlog for Trafique, an open-world synthwave noir.
As this is the first public unveiling of the game, let me get you all up to speed: Trafique is a driving game, something like a cross between Crazy Taxi and Freelancer, or like early Grand Theft Auto but you can't get out of the car.
The game takes place over seven hours, which are not advanced in real-time but do function as a time limit, and the advancement of the clock will have ramifications on the progression of the story, as well as a day-night cycle.
The plot will be hugely player-directed, with progression dependent upon the player following up on and investigating leads. Navigation as well will be up to the player: no mission markers, no handy GPS path to follow, not even a marker on the map telling you where you are; just good old-fashioned navigation, by compass and street signs. You'll have a map to consult, but it's basically just a fancy image.
Ultimately your goal is to make $100,000 in under seven hours, and how you do that is up to you.
